As an author, there’s no other exciting sight than seeing your published books
arrive. To open the box and feel proud of what you’ve accomplished.
All the hard work, sore back and fingers. Struggling over words. Flashes of
doubt over what the heck you’re doing. The long hours and editing, editing and
editing. But there’s also reward in the absolute lovely victory when you get it
right and the story comes together.
Then when the books show up, you have earned a smile. And did I ever when
copies of “Misbehaving at Cactus Lanes” arrived. It’s a humorous story about a
widow of a loveless marriage finding a second chance at life, as well as
friendship and love. And don’t forget about a monstrous bowling average.
Thanks again to One More Chapter and its editors and Leslie Truex for making
it happen.
